Albert Pujols has played in 2,956 games across 21 Major League Baseball seasons and over half those seasons (11) have been with the St. Louis Cardinals. Tuesday, Pujols, now with the Los Angeles Dodgers, returned “home” and was greeted by several fans. In his first at-bat in St. Louis since 2019, he gave those fans a present with a home run to left field. Dodgers go on to defeat the Cardinals, 7-2.

TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY: It is not everyday the opposing team posts the other team’s home run highlight…

Albert Pujols has 679 career home runs leaving just 16 away from passing Alex Rodriguez for fourth place and 21 away from becoming the fourth member in the 700 Club. Members include Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, and Babe Ruth. Of the 679, 112 (includes tonight) have been hit at “New” Busch Stadium.
