Former Illinois Prep Athletes and their NBA Performances- April 10- Last Day of the Regular Season and a John Konchar Triple-Double

Sunday, thirteen former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in various NBA games. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from April 10.

Best of the Day: John Konchar

John Konchar (West Chicago) and the Memphis Grizzlies couldn’t close out the season with a win but Konchar did notch his first career triple-double.

  • John Konchar (West Chicago/Memphis Grizzlies)- 39 minutes, 17 points, 7/11 FG, 1/4 3PT, 2/5 FT, a game-high 7 offensive rebounds, a game-high 13 total rebounds, a game-high 10 assists, 2 steals, a block, two turnovers, and -17 in a 139-110 loss to the Boston Celtics.

  • Jevon Carter (Proviso East/Milwaukee Bucks)- 33 minutes, 3 points, 1/11 FG, 1/5 3PT, an offensive rebound, 6 total rebounds, 5 assists, a game-high 3 steals, and -15 in a 133-115 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

  • Ayo Dosunmu (Morgan Park/Chicago Bulls)- 45 minutes, a career-high 26 points, 9/18 FG, 3/6 3PT, 5/7 FT, a game-high 6 assists, a game-high 2 steals (tied with 5 others), a game-worst 7 turnovers, and +10 in a 124-120 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Extra News

Patrick Beverly (Marshall) may have got ejected on Sunday but it wasn’t all bad news. He achieved 10-years service time which gives players a range of perks including lifetime insurance.
