Nine years ago was the first iteration of the WeishFest took place and it has continued to grow each year since the first one. This Friday, the Andrew Weishar Foundation will host its annual fest in Merrionette Park, Illinois. The event will consist of music, food and drink, fundraising, and more with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Weish4ever.
This sold-out event has several music acts that will take stage throughout the night. The artists are headlined by Quinn XCII, The Fray, Mitchell Tenpenny, and Morgan Evans.
The Andrew Weishar Foundation hosts several fundraising events over the year with the WeishFest being biggest of them all. Their fundraising will go to families battling cancer. Since the fundraising efforts began, they have raised over $2 million which has gone on to help over 375 families.
Those effort continue this week with even more proceeds coming in all week long as well as during the event and online. One way that money is being raised is through their silent auction with several different categories of items to bid with many sports related pieces. Sports items include signed memorabilia and tickets to various sporting events.
Some highlights include Miami Heat guard Max Strus signed shoes from his “stepped out of bounds” game, Patrick Sharp signed Chicago Blackhawks jersey, Justin Fields signed Chicago Bears Helmet, and so much more . To see more of the sport related items, click here.
