Friday, twelve former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in various NBA games. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from April 1.
Best of the Day: Robert Covington
Robert Covington (Proviso West) got his first start in a Los Angeles Clippers uniform on Friday night. The Clipper needed some to fill in and he did more than step in but also produced. Covington scored a career-high 43 points and made a franchise-record 11 three-pointers to take down the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks.
The crazier part? Covington made only nine dribbles the whole night.
