Thursday afternoon, Chicago Sky battled the Dallas Wings in a single-elimination first round matchup. Kahleah Copper’s 23 points and Candace Parker’s double-double lift the Sky over the Wings in their 81-64 win.
Chicago came into the game hot as can be and held a first half lead 44-29. Dallas answered back. Satou Sabally lead the Wings’ third quarter charger dropping eight points. Wings outscored Sky 21-11 in the third and brought the game within five points. The Chicago Sky were to much too handle and wrapped up the game 26-14 in the final quarter which sealed their victory.
Arike Ogunbowale scored a team-high 22 points for the Wings.
Sky will play the winner of Minnesota Lynx/Seattle Storm in another single-elimination game.
