Social media is as big in sports as it has ever been. What once started out as something a team might have tried as test is now become a top priority for sport teams. Now you’ll not just see the team as a whole have accounts but players, mascots, broadcasters, and several others around the team.

There are so many accounts out there now which makes standing out on social media pretty difficult. Teams in particular spend so much time and money in finding strong social media teams so they can stand out even at time when the team is not.

This weekend, the last-place Baltimore Orioles took two of three from the big, bad New York Yankees. So to no surprise, Orioles accounts had to just walked the walk so they wanted to talk the talk now. The best do it was the @masnOrioles account on Twitter.

With the NBA playoffs starting, @masnOrioles called out the bandwagon fandom of Yankee fans who also claim to be Lakers fans all in one tweet after securing a 5-0 victory on Sunday.

Very Clever.
