  • Cleveland Cavaliers defeats New York Knicks, 110-104.
    • Jalen Brunson (Stevenson) shot 33 percent from the field in the six-point loss.
      • Brunson scored a team-high 21 points on 8-for-24 shooting (0-4 3PT) and seven assists in 38 minutes. He grabbed three rebounds, turned the ball over once, and had a zero plus-minus in the loss. Also, JB went 5-for-7 at the free-throw line.
  • Chicago Bulls defeat Memphis Grizzlies, 126-123.
    • Bulls make 25 threes and have a huge fourth quarter rally to defeat the Grizzlies on the road.
    • Matas Buzelis (Hinsdale Central) played just three minutes of the bench. He missed a three-point attempt and has a -6 plus-minus.
    • Ayo Dosunmu (Morgan Park) had his best game of the season so far finishing just short of a double-double.
      • Dosunmu scored 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-4 3PT) with eight rebounds (two offensive), four assists, a block, and a zero plus-minus.
  • Jevon Carter (Proviso East) and Talen Horton-Tucker (Simeon) did not play (coach’s decision).
  • John Konchar (West Chicago) did not play for the Grizzlies due to a sore right foot.
  • Houston Rockets defeat San Antonio Spurs, 106-101.
    • Fred VanVleet (Auburn) will finish top-ten in minute per game by the end of the season. Over the last five seasons, he’s averaged 36.8 minutes per game.
    • VanVleet scored 11 points (4-14 FG, 3-8 3PT) with three rebounds (one offensive), a game-high 9 rebounds, a game-high two steals (tied with his teammate Tari Eason and a Spurs player too), and a +4 plus-minus in 41 minutes.
  • Phoenix Suns defeat Los Angeles Lakers, 109-105.
    • Suns hand Lakers their first loss of the season.
    • Anthony Davis (Perspectives) falls short of 30 points for the first time this season (by one point too).
