Eight games on the slate to begin the NBA Cup. Four of those games had potential to include some Illinois talent but just one actually had a guy play.

November 12 Games

  • Atlanta Hawks defeated Boston Celtics, 117-116.
    • Drew Peterson (Libertyville) did not play due to a coach’s decision.
  • New York Knicks defeated Philadelphia 76ers, 111-99.
    • Jalen Brunson (Stevenson) made his fewest field goals (5) in game this season.
      • Brunson had 18 points (5-15 FG, 0-4 3PT, 8-8 FT), three rebounds, five assists, a steal, six turnovers, and a +7 plus-minus.
      • His six turnovers were a game-high (worst).
      • He also reached 1,000 assist in a Knicks uniform in the win.
        • Brunson also had over 1,000 assists during his time with the Dallas Mavericks.
  • Golden State Warriors defeated Dallas Mavericks, 120-117.
    • Olivier-Maxence Prosper (Lake Forest Academy) did not play due to a coach’s decision.
  • Portland Trail Blazer defeated Minnesota Timberwolves, 122-108.
    • Terrence Shannon Jr. (Lincoln Park) did not play due to a coach’s decision.
