First off, happy birthday to Simeon grad Antonio Reeves. To celebrated in put up a career-high 34 points on the Cavs.

  • Antonio Reeves (Simeon) is celebrated his birthday with a splash off the bench.

    • He went 4-for-12 from beyond the arc and 2-for-2 from the free throw line.

  • Ayo Dosunmu (Morgan Park) had a single digit scoring night for the third straight game.
    • Dosunmy had eight points on 4-for-7 shooting (0-1 3PT) with three rebounds, three assists, a steal, three turnovers, and a -18 plus-minus in 32 minutes off the bench.
    • His -18 plus-minus was a game-worst.
  • Matas Buzelis (Hinsdale Central) has only scored in double figures once this so far.
    • Buzelis had two points with two rebounds and a -2 plus-minus in six minutes off the bench.
    • He went 0-for-1 from beyond the arc and 2-for-2 from the free throw line.
  • Jevon Carter (Proviso East) played two minutes, missed two field goal attempts including one three-pointer, and had a zero plus-minus.

G League Update

Terrence Shannon Jr. (Lincoln Park) has not received many minutes in the NBA to start the year. Luckily, he’ll get minutes throughout the season with the Minnesota Timberwolves’ G League affiliate. On Wednesday, Shannon Jr. put the league on notice with his performance in the Iowa Wolves 140-122 win over the Motor City Cruise.

He had 34 points on 13-for-23 shooting with six rebounds (one offensive), six assists, three turnovers, and in 37 minutes. TSJ went 2-for-4 from three point range and 4-for-5 from the free throw line.

Shannon Jr.’s 34 points were a game-high.
