Biggest news of the day comes out of the WNBA from Suntimes’ Annie Costabile.

She reported Niles West’s Jewell Loyd wants to be traded out of Seattle.

Loyd was originally drafted by the Seattle with the first overall pick in 2015 out of Notre Dame. During her first season with the Storm, she averaged 10.1 points while earning Rookie of the Year honors.

During her 10 seasons, she won several other personal accolades like a scoring title and six all stars but her biggest were as a team. She played a key role for the 2018 and 2020 WNBA Champion Seattle teams.

She’s played 327 during her WNBA career while averring 16.9 points on 40.2 percent shooting with 3.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.2 steals.

Unclear where she is headed but the Chicago Sky could use her veteran presence and he play at the guard position.
