Providence defeated DePaul 70-63 in overtime at Wintrust Arena.
Bryce Hopkins (Fenwick) was key factor in the win. The Oak Park native finished with 19 points on 7-for-19 shooting with 10 rebounds (four offensive), three assists, and a turnover in 36 minutes. He shot 3-for-5 from beyond the arc and made both of his free throws attempts.
Hopkins missed the first eight Friars game but has scored 16, 16, and 19 points while shooting 40 percent from the field in his return to the court. He’s also averaging 7.7 rebounds per game.
