Max Strus (Stagg) is getting his footing back after starting the season on the sidelines.

He missed the first 27 games for the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a right ankle injury. He scored nine points in his season debut on Dec. 20 and has now played in back-to-back games.

Despite starting in all 70 of his 2023-24 games, Cavs head coach Kenny Atkinson is easing Strus into the lineup by having him come off the bench and be on a minutes restriction (about 20).

On Friday, Strus made his 600th career three-point field goal. It came on an assist from Donovan Mitchell with 8:56 left in the fourth quarter to extend the Cavs lead 127-110.
