Max Christie (Rolling Meadows) is legit.

Christie scored a career-high 28 points in a 114-106 Los Angeles Lakers win over the Portland Trail Blazers on January 2.

He’s now started the last 10 games for the Lakers and they have gone 7-3 during the stretch.

Since taking over the start job, he is averaging 12.1 points on 47.4 percent shooting with 2.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.

He’s also shooting 44.4 percent on 4.5 3-point attempts per game.

In the win over Portland, Christie set career-highs in points, field goals, field goal attempts, 3-pointers, and 3-point attempts.

Derrick Rose (Simeon) is on a reunion tour around the city that will culminate at the United Center on Saturday with a Chicago Bulls-New York Knicks matchup.

Rose took to social media to announce a surprise popup at 350 N. State on January 2 for his first big event of the year.

Fans had little knowledge at first about what the event would consist of but still came out in full force.

The local legend teamed up with West Loop’s florist Planks and Pistol for flowers and Tortoise Supper Club in River North to host. Fans got to prepare rose floral arrangements with the help of Rose. He chatted and took photos with fans from noon to four in the afternoon.

Aneesah Morrow (Simeon) had 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-2 FT) and 10 rebounds in LSU’s 98-64 win over Arkansas.

She leads the nation in rebounds (14) and double-doubles (14).

Morrow is now tied fourth all time in double-doubles with 88.

Morrow also had an assist, two steals, a block, and three turnovers in the win.

Louisiana State has now won 16 straight games to start the season.
