Aneesah Morrow (Simeon) needs to be a household name.

Morrow finished with yet another double-double in LSU’s 83-77 win over Vanderbilt on Monday night.

#5 Louisiana sits at 19-0 with a 4-0 conference record.

Morrow finished with 23 points (10-19 FG, 0-1 3PT, 3-4 FT) with 15 rebounds (four offensive), an assist, tow steals, and three turnovers.

This was her ninth consecutive double-double and her NCAA-leading 17th double-double of the season. The next closest are four players tied at 11.

Her performances against No. 16 Tennessee and Vanderbilt earned her SEC Player of the Week. These honors are always exciting and are similar to ones she been earning since her day at DePaul where this journey all began.

For those that have been following women basketball, they know who Morrow is and that this is who she’s been since the start of her college career.

Vanderbillt’s head coach Shea Ralph has always been impressed by Morrow.

“I remember when she transferred from DePaul to LSU I thought, ‘damn,’” Ralph said.

Besides double-doubles, she also leads the nations in rebounds with 14.4 per game.

Morrow is averaging career-highs in rebounds, field goal percentage (53.9%) and 3-point percentage (40%) to name a few.

She has scored in double figures in all but one game this season and is averaging 18.6 points for Louisiana State.

“I’ve once had the game taken away from me. So every time I stop on the floor every night, I give it my all,” Morrow said. “You never know when your last game is.”

Morrow is cementing herself in basketball history. She becomes just the eighth player in NCAA DI history to record 2,500 points and 1,500 rebounds in a career.

This will not be the end of the Aneesah Morrow story. She is just heating up.
