Jahlil Okafor (Whitney Young) signed a 10-day contract with the Indiana Pacer on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old has not seen minutes on a NBA court in four years but that run came to an end in the Pacer’s game against the New York Knicks. In his season debut for the Pacer, he had a rebound and an assist in three minutes off the bench.
This season, Okafor is play his first in the G League. He’s been a leader for the Indiana Mad Ants while nearly averaging a double-double. Through 15 regular season games, he’s averaging 18.6 points on splits of .665/.400/.862 with 9.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 32 minutes.
NBA Games
New York Knicks defeated Indiana Pacers, 128-115. Jalen Brunson (Stevenson) started but had a relatively quiet night. He had eight points (4-11 FG, 0-1 3PT) with two rebounds, a team-high seven assists, three turnovers, and a +10 plus-minus in 23 minutes. His three turnovers were a team-worst tied with Josh Hart. This is Brunson’s only game scoring in single digits.

Buzelis had a team-high 12 points (5-7 FG, 2-2 3PT) with a rebound, an assist, a turnover, and a -17 plus-minus in 17 minutes. His five made field goals were a team-high with Josh Giddey. His two made 3-pointers were also a team-high. Buzelis has seven straight games scoring in double-digits. During that span, he’s 13-for-26 from beyond the arc.
Dosunmu had eight points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3PT, 1-2 FT) with a rebound, two assists, a team-high three steals, three turnovers, and a -28 plus-minus in 20 minutes. his three turnovers were a game-worst tied with two others. Dosunmu has made three in 12 straight games. Talen Horton-Tucker (Simeon) had four points (1-5 FG, 0-2 3PT, 2-3 FT) with two rebounds, and a +5 plus-minus in eight minutes off the bench. His +5 plus-minus was a team-high tied with Dalen Terry. This was Horton-Tucker’s first game since January 29- he missed the last five games. Jevon Carter (Proviso East) had three points (1-5 FG, 1-3 3PT) with two rebounds, four assist, a turnover, and a +4 plus-minus in 11 minutes off the bench. His four assists were a team-high tied with two others. Carter has played in five straight games for Chicago for just the second time this season.
Memphis Grizzlies defeat Phoenix Suns, 119-112. John Konchar (West Chicago) did not play due to a coach’s decision.
G League Games
Long Island Nets defeated Windy City Bulls, 111-85. E.J. Liddell (Belleville West) started for Windy City and had just four points (1-5 FG, 0-2 3PT, 1-3 FT) with five rebounds (four offensive), three blocks, a turnover, and a -19 plus-minus in 14 minutes. Ben Coupet Jr. (Simeon) came off the bench and had five points (1-8 FG, 1-7 3PT, 1-1 FT) with six rebounds (three offensive), an assist, a block, a turnover, and a -1 plus-minus in 27 minutes.
Nojel Eastern (Evanston) had a double-double in Iowa Wolves 114-104 loss to the Greensboro Swarm. Eastern had 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-2 3PT) with 11 rebounds (three offensive), three assists, a steal, two turnovers, and a -10 plus-minus in 37 minutes.
