Dallas Mavericks defeated San Antonio Spurs, 133-129. Max Christie (Rolling Meadows) made his ninth start for Dallas. His one steals was a team-high tied with four others. Christie scored his 1000th career NBA point in the loss.
Chicago Bulls defeated Indiana Pacers, 121-103. Matas Buzelis (Hinsdale Central) started for Chicago while Jevon Carter (Proviso East) and Talen Horton-Tucker (Simeon) came off the bench. Buzelis has a block in 34 of his 63 games. Carter had five points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3PT) with an assist and a -6 plus-minus in three minutes. His plus-minus was a team-worst tied with Talen Horton-Tucker. This was Carter’s 30th appearance and his two minutes and 54 seconds ranks as the fifth fewest of the season. Horton-Tucker had a rebound and a -6 plus-minus in three minutes. His plus-minus was a team-worst tied with Jevon Carter. He’s averaging just 11.5 minutes per game this season- a career-low.
Brooklyn Nets drafted Los Angeles Lakers, 111-108. Jordan Goodwin (Althoff Catholic) added a bit of a spark off the bench in his 10th game for the Lakers but it was not enough. He had 17 points (6-8 FG, 5-6 3PT) with eight rebounds (one offensive), a steal, two turnovers, and a -3 plus-minus in 24 minutes. Goodwin matched his season-high in points (17) and rebounds (eight) in the loss.
Houston Rockets defeated Orlando Magic, 97-84. Fred VanVleet (Auburn) did not play due to his right ankle injury.
Memphis Grizzlies defeated Phoenix Suns, 120-118. John Konchar (West Chicago) came off the bench in the win for Memphis. He grabbed one rebound and had a zero plus-minus in six minutes. Konchar is averaging a career-low 2.4 points this season. He has scored zero points in 17 of his 34 appearances.

Oklahoma City Blue defeated Iowa Wolves, 123-93. Nojel Eastern (Evanston) came off the bench for Iowa. He had five points (2-6 FG, 1-4 3PT0 with three rebounds (two offensive), an assist, three turnovers, and a -23 plus-minus in 27 minutes.
