Houston Rockets defeated Miami Heat, 102-98. Fred VanVleet (Auburn) made his sixth straight game and scored the second most points of the season. He had a game-high 37 points (13-17 FG, 9-11 3PT, 2-4 FT) with three assists, three steals, a turnover, and a +2 plus-minus in a team-high 36 minutes. His field goals, field goal attempts, 3-pointers, and 3-point attempts were all game-highs. His two made free throws were a team-high tied with four others. His four attempts were a team-high tied with three others. This is just the second 30-point performance for VanVleet- the previous was a 38-point game against Oklahoma City on December 1.
Dallas Mavericks defeated Detroit Pistons, 123-117. Max Christie (Rolling Meadows) came off the Dallas bench for the fourth straight game. He had five points (1-4 Fg, 1-4 3PT, 2-2 FT) with eight rebounds (three offensive), two assists, two steals, and a +6 plus-minus in 24 minutes. His three offensive rebounds were a team-high tied with Naji Marshall. His two steals were a team-high tied with four others. Christie has come off the bench in 11 of his 21 games with Dallas.
Minnesota Timberwolves defeated New Orleans Pelicans, 134-193. Terrence Shannon Jr. (Lincoln Park) came off the bench for Minnesota. He had zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3PT) with two assists and a +7 plus-minus in nine minutes. This was his 30th game of the year. Antonio Reeves (Simeon) also came off the bench but for New Orleans. He had 11 points (5-5 FG, 1-1 3PT) with a steal, a turnover, and a -17 plus-minus in 12 minutes. This marked the fourth time Reeves has score in double digits.
Boston Celtics defeated Utah Jazz, 121-99. Drew Peterson (Libertyville) came off the bench for Boston. He had a steal and a +2 plus-minus in two minutes on the court. He’s averaging a career-high 7.9 minutes per game.
Phoenix Suns defeated Cleveland cavaliers, 123-112. Max Strus (Stagg) made his 28th start for the Cavs. This was also his 300th game in the NBA. He had nine points (3-5 FG, 3-4 3PT) with four rebounds (three offensive), an assist, a steal, two turnovers, and a -9 plus-minus in 23 minutes. His three made 3-pointers was a game-high tied with his teammate De’Andre Hunter. Strus is shooting 41.4 percent on 6.4 3-point attempts in March (11 games).
Orland Magic defeated Washington Wizards, 120-105. Richaun Holmes (Lockport) did not play in the loss.
Los Angeles Clippers defeated Memphis Grizzlies, 128-108. John Konchar (West Chicago) came off the bench for Memphis for the fifth straight game. He had zero points (0-2 Fg, 0-1 3PT) with two rebounds, a steal, a turnover, and a team-high +7 plus-minus in 13 minutes. Konchar has gone scoreless in 19 of his 39 appearances this season. Like Strus, this was Konchar’s 300th game in the NBA.

Stockton Kings defeated Oklahoma City Blue, 105-104, in overtime. Chasson Randle (Rock Island) came off the bench for the Kings. He had seven points (2-8 FG, 1-4 3PT, 1-1 FT) with three rebounds, an assist, a steal, a turnover, and a +7 plus-minus in 26 minutes.
