Matas Buzelis (Hinsdale Central) had 12 points and 12 rebounds in a Chicago Bulls win on Friday for his first career NBA double-double.

Indiana Pacers defeated Utah Jazz, 140-112. RayJ Dennis (Oswego East) came off the bench in the win. He had a +9 plus-minus in two minutes. This was his first game since March 10.

Boston Celtics defeated Phoenix Suns, 123-103. Drew Peterson (Libertyville) came off the bench in the win. He had zero points (0-1 FG) with an offensive rebound and a -1 plus-minus in two minutes.

Chiccago Bulls defeated Portland Trail Blazers, 118-113. Matas Buzelis (Hinsdale Central) started for Chicago and earned his first career NBA double. Buzelis had 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-4 3PT, 0-1 FT) with 12 rebounds (two offensive), an assist, three blocks, three turnovers, and a +8 plus-minus in 34 minutes. Houston Rockets defeated Oklahoma City Thunder, 125-111. Fred VanVleet (Auburn) returned to the starting lineup after sitting out the previous games. He had 13 points (5-9 FG, 3-7 3PT), six assists, a steal, a +6 plus-minus in 37 minutes. His six assists were a team-high tied with Amen Thompson. His three made 3-pointers were a team-high tied with two others. VanVleet is averaging 35.3 points per game which is the fewest in five seasons.

Cleveland Cavaliers defeated San Antonio Spurs, 114-113. Max Strus (Stagg) started for the Cavs. He had three points (1-5 FG, 1-5 3PT) with six rebounds (three offensive), three assists, a steal, a turnover, and a -10 plus-minus in 32 minutes. His three offensive rebounds were a game-high with Spurs’ Bismack Biyombo. Strus’s 1.1 offensive rebounds per game is a career-best.

Los Angeles Lakers defeated New Orleans Pelicans, 124-108. Jordan Goodwin (Althoff Catholic) came off the bench in the win. He had two points (1-4 FG, 0-3 3PT) with five rebounds (two offensive), two assists, a steal, two turnovers, and a +7 plus-minus in 18 minutes. His two offensive rebounds were a team-high tied with Gabe Vincent. His two turnovers were a team-worst tied with Luka Doncic. Goodwin has at least one offensive rebounds in 22 of his 24 appearances. Los Angeles Clippers defeated Dallas Mavericks, 114-91. Cam Christie (Rolling Meadows) came off the bench in the win.
