Every team played a game on Friday evening and no performance was bigger than Chicago’s own Anthony Davis (Perspectives).

Orland Magic defeated Indiana Pacers, 129-115. RayJ Dennis (Oswego East) made his 10th appearance off the Pacers bench. He a career-high 10 points (4-9 FG, 2-5 3PT) with a rebound, three assists, a steal, a turnover, and a +3 plus-minus in 17 minutes. His five 3-point attempts were a team-high tied with two others. His three assists were also a team-high tied with six others. His nearly 17 minutes played in the loss is a career-high.

Boston Celtics defeated Charlotte Hornets, 130-94 Drew Peterson (Libertyville) came off the Boston Bench. He had three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3PT) with two rebounds and a +4 plus-minus in two minutes. He has at least one 3-pointer in 10 of his 24 games.

Cleveland Cavaliers defeated New York Knicks, 108-102. Max Strus (Stagg) made his 37th start in his 50th appearance of the season. He had 19 points (7-15 FG, 5-12 3PT) with five rebounds, three assists, a game-high two blocks, a game-worst five turnovers, and a -4 plus-minus in 35 minutes. His minutes played were a team-high tied with Evan Mobley. His five 3-pointers were a game-high tied with Knicks Landry Shamet. His 12 attempts were a game-high. His two blocks were the same total amount of blocks by New York. Strus scored nine of his teams 30 points to help lead a fourth quarter run to defeated the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Strus finishes the regular season averaging just under 10 points at 9.4 points per game.

Jalen Brunson (Stevenson) made his 65th start of the season in the loss. He had a game-high 27 points (9-17 FG, 3-7 3PT, 6-7 FT) with a rebound, two assists, a steal, a team-worst three turnovers, and a -6 plus-minus in a game-high 36 minutes which was tied with his teammate Mikal Bridges. His nine field goals were a team-high. His 17 field goal attempts were a game-high tied with Cavs’ Darius Garland. His free throws and free throw attempts were both team-highs. Knicks are just 1-3 since Brunson’s return from injury with losses to Cleveland, Boston, and Detroit.

Chicago Bulls defeated Washington Wizards, 119-89. Matas Buzelis (Hinsdale Central) started for Chicago. He had 20 points (7-14 FG, 3-6 3PT, 3-3 FT) with four assists, a game-high three blocks, two turnovers, and a +12 plus-minus in a team-high 32 minutes. His seven field goals were a team-high tied with two others. His three 3-pointers were a game-high tied with three others. This was his 20th game with multiple blocks and his eights with three or more.

Talen Horton-Tucker (Simeon) made his 57th appearance of the season- all off the Bulls bench. He had 12 points (3-9 FG, 0-4 3PT, 6-8 FT) with a rebounds, four assists, a steal, a block, two turnovers, and a +1 plus-minus. His six free throws were a game-high with his teammate Julian Phillips. His eight attempts were a game-high. Horton-Tucker has played seven straight games and has gone 28-for-34 from the free throw line. Jevon Carter (Proviso East) made his 35th appearance for Chicago. He had eight points (3-10 FG, 2-8 3PT) with three rebounds, an assist, and a +15 plus-minus in 13 minutes. Carter is on pace to play in a career-low 36 if he plays on Sunday. E.J. Liddell (Belleville West) made his 11th appearance coming off the Bulls bench. He had a rebound and a +4 plus-minus in three minutes. This was his first appearance with a positive plus-minus since December 2, 2024. Richaun Holmes (Lockport) did not play in the loss due to his right shoulder contusion.

Miami Heat defeated New Orleans, 153-104. Antonio Reeves (Simeon) came off the bench in the loss. He had 19 points (7-14 FG, 2-5 3PT, 3-4 FT) with five rebounds (two offensive), four assists, a steal, a block, a turnover, and a -18 plus-minus in 34 minutes. He has at least one steal in 15 games.

Dallas Mavericks defeated Toronto Raptors, 124-102. Anthony Davis (Perspectives) started and missed a quadruple double by three blocks. He had a team-high 23 points (10-18 FG, 1-5 3PT, 2-2 FT) with a game-high 13 rebounds (three offensive), a game-high 10 assists, a game-high seven blocks, two turnovers, and a +21 plus-minus in 30 minutes. His minutes were a team-high with Max Christie. His field goals and field goals were a team-high. His three offensive rebounds were also a team-high but tied with Dereck Lively II. He out-blocked Raptors 7-4. This was Davis’ first triple double with the Mavs.

Max Christie (Rolling Meadows) came off the Dallas bench in the win. He had 17 points (5-11 FG, 3-7 3PT) with six rebounds, two assists, a block, two turnovers, and a +9 plus-minus in 30 minutes. His 30 minutes was a team-high tied with Anthony Davis. His 3-pointers and 3-point attempts were a team-high.

Minnesota Timberwolves defeated Brooklyn Nets, 117-109. Terrence Shannon Jr. (Lincoln Park) came off the bench and made his first appearance since March 24. He grabbed a rebound and had a +3 plus-minus in three minutes. Shannon has gone scoreless in his last four games and has last scored on March 16.

Denver Nuggets defeated Memphis Grizzlies, 117-109. John Konchar (West Chicago) made his 45th appearance for Memphis in this loss. He came off the bench for the 41st time. He had five points (2-2 FG, 1-1 3PT) with with three rebounds (one offensive), a steal, and a zero plus-minus in seven minutes. He has yet to score in double-digits this season. Konchar has at least one rebounds in 15 straight games.

Los Angeles Clippers defeated Sacramento Kings, 101-101. Cam Christie (Rolling Meadows) did not play in the win.

Los Angeles Lakers defeated Houston Rockets, 140-105. Jordan Goodwin (Althoff Catholic) made his 23rd appearance off the Lakers bench (28 total). He had three points (1-4 FG, 1-3 3PT) with six rebounds, three assists, a turnover, and a +21 plus-minus in 23 minutes. Goodwin is shooting 38.1 percent from beyond the arc which is a career-high for the 4-year journeyman.
