After months of debate, during NFL spring meetings, it was announced on Wednesday the famous “tush push” play often performed by the Philadelphia Eagles.

The play has carried Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts to the end zone for many touchdowns and wins but the Eagles all the way to a 2025 Super Bowl win this past February over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Green Bay Packers originally submitted the proposal but it failed by two votes. NFL owners voted 22-10 with nine other team agreeing with Philadelphia.

Teams that voted against the proposal included Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, Tennessee Titans and New York Jets voted against the proposal.

Eagles great Jason Kelce even went out to Minneapolis to give a passionate speech on the famed play in hopes of keeping it.

After news broke, the Eagles players and social team enjoyed their first win of the new season and took to social with sime posts (as seen above). They even posted a 26 minute highlight video of the “Tush Push” run successfully by them in a recent YouTube video.
