Las Vegas Aces (4-4) lose to the Los Angeles Sparks, 97-89.

This is the second straight loss for the Aces with the other coming last Saturday against the Golden State Valkyries.

Jewell Loyd (Niles West) started for the Aces in the loss.

Loyd had seven points (3-9 FG, 1-4 3PT) with an assist, a steal, a turnover, and a -2 plus-minus in 25 minutes.

The Gold Mamba has struggled to get going so far since joining the Aces. She has scored in double figures in only three games of her first eight games.

She’s shooting a career-low 29.8 percent from the field.

Loyd and the Aces next play on Friday, June 13 at 7:30 against the Dallas Wings at the Michelob ULTRE Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
