Angel Reese is more than a basketball player.

She wears many hats and one of the paths that she’s always putting emphasis on is growing her business/personal brand.

The second-year WNBA star filed a trademark for the rebound term “Mebounds” recently.

Trolls can be obnoxious and even cross the line at times but Reese continues to try and roll it off as much as possible. With that said it’s not always easy.

This time though, she’s found a way to monetize the trolling with her latest trademark- mebounds.

Anti-Reese hoop followers have frowned upon her play and her ability to get rebounds. They believe many have come off her misses when only some actually have been on her own shots. Last season, if you remove the offensive boards from her shots, she still lead the league.

Currently this season, she has 119 rebounds in 10 games played (11.9 per game). As a rookie last season, she led the WNBA in rebounds with 13.1 boards.

The 23-year-old has struggled offensively to start the season but so have most the Chicago Sky. Things are starting to look up for Reese as she has played much better over the past week.

On Sunday, Reese had her first career WNBA triple-double. She had 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists in a win against the Connecticut Sun.

Reese and the Sky are at home on Tuesday, June 17 and look to continue their strong play against the Washington Mystics at Wintrust Arena.
