Former Iowa Hawkeyes went up against each other on Thursday evening.
WNBA/Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark and Golden State Valkyries guard Kate Martin (Edwardsville) faced off for the third time since leaving Iowa.
Golden State Valkyries improve to 4-2 at the Chase Center with their 88-77 win over the Indiana Fever.
Martin improves to 3-0 against Clark dating back to last season.
The 25-year-old played in her 11th game off the season- 10th off the bench.
She had nine points (4-7 FG, 1-4 3PT) with five rebounds, an assist, a steal, a turnover, and a +12 plus-minus in 20 minutes.
Golden State have four games left of their homestand with the next being against the Connecticut Sun at 7:30 PM on Sunday, June 22.
