The TBT is back.
For the 12th summer in a row, The Basketball Tournament is taking over the summer hoops scene. Their ELAM ending has divided fans but has added a unique twist to ends of their games
Over the years many Illinois natives have taken part in the event and this season is no different.
Prentiss Nixon (Bolingbrook) came up big for the B Braun Sheffield Sharks in their 70-64 win over DaGuys STL. Nixon had 24 points (8-14 FG, 4-6 3PT, 4-7 FT) with three rebounds, two assists, a steal, and three turnovers in 27 minutes.
Also in the tournament is Jubril Adekoya (Andrew) who is playing with Shield 219. He started in his team’s 77-69 loss to the All Good Dawgs on Saturday. Adekoya had five points (2-4 FG, 0-1 3PT, 1-4 FT) with five rebounds (one offensive), three assists, and a turnover in 28 minutes.
NBA Summer League Box Score
Houston Rockets defeated Minnesota Timberwolves, 104-101. Nojel Eastern (Evanston) started for T’Wolves. He had four points (1-5 FG, 0-1 3PT, 2-2 FT) with four rebounds (three offensive), an assist, two steals, a block, a turnover, and a +3 plus-minus in 21 minutes.
Terrence Shannon Jr. (Lincoln Park) did not play in the loss.
