The Connecticut Sun sit at the bottom of the WNBA standings with not much momentum.

Their first round pick and rookie Aneesah Morrow (Simeon) is working to change that…as much as one can.

Morrow has played in 22 games for the Sun this season. She is averaging 7.2 points on 38.1 percent shooting with 5.3 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.4 blocks, and 1.1 turnovers in 15.7 minutes per game.

The Simeon grad ranks top 10 in points in her rookie class and is second behind Washington Mystics’ Kiki Iriafen in offensive rebounds and rebounds per game.

She has mostly come off the bench for Connecticut but has made four total starts for them. She also has started back-to-back game over the past two days- the first of her career.

On Monday, she got that second straight start in a matchup against the Seattle Storm.

Connecticut suffered a 101-85 loss to Seattle on Monday night.

She had nine points (3-7 FG< 1-3 3PT, 2-2 FT) with seven rebounds (one offensive), an assist, a steal, a turnover, and a -15 plus-minus in 17 minutes.

While she might fall short of winning rookie of the year but she still has a strong shot at an All Rookie WNBA team.

She is becoming more comfortable on the court as the season goes on and has quickly made a name for herself as of the bright sports for this Connecticut Sun team.

Connecticut is rebuilding and they found a good one in Aneesah Morrow.
