Las Vegas Aces defeated Phoenix Mercury 89-86 to take Game 1 of the WNBA Finals.

Jewell Loyd (Niles West) came off the bench and was one of two players on the Aces with double digit scoring.

Gold Mamba had 18 points (8-16 FG, 2-7 3PT) with four rebounds (two offensive), a turnover, and a +3 plus-minus in 35 minutes.

Loyd is one of four Aces that played more than 30 minutes in Game 1. The other three were all starters.

Her 18 points was the second most by a Las Vegas behind Dana Evans and A’ja Wilson who had 21 points.
