After the final set of roster cuts, Jordan Goodwin (Althoff Catholic) has made the 2024-2025 Phoenix Suns NBA roster.
The Althoff Catholic grad was originally claimed off waivers in July to give him a shot at making the Suns. He showed he wanted it.
During the preseason, he played four games and averaged 12.5 points on .462/.389/.700 shooting with 3.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 steals in 19 minutes per game.
Last season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Goodwin played in 29 games including five starts when LeBron James went out. He averaged 5.6 points on splits of .438/.382/.818 with 3.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and a steal in 18.7 minutes per game. He grabbed at least one offensive board in 25 of his 29 games played last season including 10 games with multiple offensive rebounds.
This will be his second stint with the Suns. He previously played 40 games with them during the 2023-2024 season.
Goodwin and the Suns tip-off their season at home on Wednesday, October 22 at the Mortgage Matchup Center against the Sacramento Kings.
