The excitement around sports cards does not only come from fans and collectors but also the players who are featured on them. One young player that is also an avid card collector is Fresno Grizzlies Benny Montgomery

Montgomery was drafted by the Colorado Rockies with the 8th overall pick in 2021. He currently plays for the previously-mentioned Fresno Grizzlies which is the Rockies’ Single-A affiliate. So far this season for the Grizzlies, he’s played 40 games and is hitting .280 with 31 runs and 15 extra-base hits across 164 at-bats.

But how does one player spend their off days? Well, Benny Montgomery shares his life using Tik Tok as much as possible. He has amassed over 25,000 followers since joining the app.

In a recent video, he takes his followers to the local mall in search of some cards. He finds and snags some from Lids before leaving and later shares his findings.

He starts out with no luck of finding his card but on the fourth pack, he pulls his very own card- a 2021 1st Bowman Chrome rookie card.
