Former Illinois Prep Athletes and their NBA Performances- March 9- Fred VanVleet is Back

Fred VanVleet (Auburn) has been out the last five game with a knee injury. In his first game back, he leads the Toronto Raptors to victory with the help of his team-high 26 points.

  • JaVale McGee (Hales Franciscan/Phoenix Suns)- 16 minutes, 11 points, 5/13 FG, 1/1 FT, a steal, 2 turnover, and +8 in a 111-90.
    • This performances gives McGee his 10th double-double of the season.
  • Max Strus (Stagg/Miami Heat)- 12 minutes, 0/1 FG, 0/1 3PT, a rebound, an assist, and +2 in a 111-90.
  • Jevon Carter (Proviso East/Milwaukee Bucks)- 17 minutes, 3 points, 1/3 FG, 1/2 3PT, and +2 in a 124-115 with the Charlotte Hornets.
  • Isaiah Roby (Dixon/Oklahoma City Thunder)- 36 minutes, 15 points, 5/9 FG, 1/4 3PT, 4/8 FT, an offensive rebound, 4 total rebounds, 4 assists, a game-high 3 steals, a turnover, and -24 in a 132-102 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
  • Jalen Brunson (Stevenson/Dallas Mavericks)- 25 minutes, 8 points, 3/12 FG, 0/5 3PT, 2/2 FT, 5 rebounds, a team-high 1 steals (tied with 2 others), a turnover, and -17 in 107-77 loss to the New York Knicks.
