If you do not know Olivia Pichardo, you need to read about this amazing women. Even before stepping foot at Brown University, Pichardo was a stellar student and athlete as she was a student council president, Nation Honors Society member, a two-sport athlete and she even played for USA Baseball Women’s National team and completed an internship with the New York Mets. Now, she’s making history after becoming the first female NCAA Division 1 baseball student-athlete.
Initially, Olivia Pichardo made Brown’s baseball team as a walk-on just last month after impressing head coach Grant Achilles. After continuing to play well and showing off her skillset, that she’s been working on since she was five, Coach Achilles has named her to the active roster as member of the baseball team.
It’s kind of crazy to know that I’m living out my dream right now and my ideal college experience that I’ve always wanted, so that’s really cool.”
