The National Basketball Association took the day off to promote and get people involved in voting on Election Day.

To jumpstart the excitement again, the league gave their fans 12 games to watch Wednesday evening.

November 6 Games

• Cleveland Cavalier defeat New Orleans Pelicans, 131-122.
  • Antonio Reeves (Simeon) did not play due to a coach’s decision.
• Memphis Grizzlies defeat Los Angeles Lakers.
  • Max Christie (Rolling Meadows) came off the bench and scored 8 points (3-8 FG, 1-2 3PT, 1-1 FT) with three rebounds (one offensive), three assists, a steal, and a -3 plus-minus in 19 minutes.
  • Anthony Davis (Perspectives) did not play due to a coach’s decision stemming from his left heel soreness.
• Houston Rockets defeat San Antonio Spurs, 127-100.
  • Fred VanVleet (Auburn) had his best games off the season as he fell three rebounds shy of a triple-double.
    • VanVleet scored 21 points on 10-for-11 shooting (1-2 3PT) with seven rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, three turnovers, and a +20 plus-minus in 25 minutes.
    • His seven rebounds were a game-high tied with Spurs’ Sandro Mamukelashvili.
    • His 10 assists were a game-high. No one else had more than four.
    • His two steals were a team-high tied with his teammate Amen Thompson.
    • His three turnovers were a team-worst tied with his teammate Jalen Green.

• Atlanta Hawks defeat New York Knicks, 121-116.

    • His three turnovers were game-worst tied with his teammates Miles McBride and Karl-Anthony Towns.
• Dallas Mavericks defeat Chicago Bulls, 119-99.

  • Ayo Dosunmu (Morgan Park) got the start again.
