Friday was a busy slate of games for the National Basketball Association.

Eight former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in an NBA game with several making major on-court contributions for their teams. Another five were on active rosters but did not play on Friday.

Some of the biggest performances came from Jalen Brunson (Stevenson), Max Christie (Rolling Meadows), Anthony Davis (Perspectives), and Fred VanVleet (Auburn).

Not going into to much detail but here’s some quick notes on these four players:

  • Brunson had a season-high in points (37) in a Knicks win.
  • Christie played a season-high 30 minutes and had a season-high in points and steals.
  • Davis had a season-high in points on his way to his sixth double-double of the season.
