For those that missed yesterday’s post, these daily stories are evolving again. The goal is for this to become the hub for daily happening of Illinois natives in the pros whether it is NBA, G-League, overseas, and of course, the WNBA.

November 21 was one of the slower news days.
Anthony Davis (Perspectives) and Max Christie (Rolling Meadows) were the only Illinois guys seeing minutes on Thursday evening. Unfortunately, Davis’ big night was spoiled as he missed three free throws in the final 27 seconds. Los Angeles Lakers would go on to lose by one point to the Orlando Magic.

- Anthony Davis (Perspectives) ended his double-double streak at four games.
- Davis had 39 points on 14-for-22 shooting (1-1 3PT) with nine rebounds (four offensive), two assists, three blocks, three turnovers, and a zero plus-minus in 38 minutes.
- Davis went 10-for-13 from the free throw line.
- His three misses came in the final 27 seconds.
- His 39 points were a game-high.
- His 14 made field goals were a game-high.
- His four offensive rebounds were a game-high tied two Magic players.
