By now you might have heard about Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Max Christie (Rolling Meadows). Well, he is not the only Rolling Meadows grad and Christie child in the pros. His brother Cam Christie (Rolling Meadows) is currently a member of the San Diego Clippers and is averaging 14.9 points with 3.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game through his team’s first seven games.
Christie spent one season with the Minnesota Gophers but he played very well. He played in 33 games including 30 starts and averaged 11.3 point on 40.3 percent shooting with 3.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists. He also shot 39.1 percent on 5.3 three point attempts per game.
His play and performance at the draft combine and workouts convinced NBA scouts he was ready for the league. Christie was drafted in second round with the 48th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers.
Now the Christie parents have a better chance of catching their kids play with both playing in the same city (eventually). Unfortunately at the moment, Cam Christie has yet to make his NBA debut and has been with the Clippers’ G-League affiliate. A handful of performance like the one from November 29 (see below), he be making his NBA debut soon.
