Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Terrence Shannon Jr. (Lincoln Park) scored a career-high 25 points in a loss on the road to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Despite a 13-1 run by the Minnesota Timbewwolves in the fourth quarter, Los Angeles Laker secured a 111-102 win at home on Thursday. Jordan Goodwin (Althoff Catholic) came off the bench in the win for Los Angeles. He had seven points (3-5 FG, 1-2 3PT) with rebound, an assist, two steals, a turnovers, and a +8 plus-minus in 13 minutes. His two steals were a game-high tied with three others. This was Goodwin’s fourth straight game and seventh overall with the Lakers. Terrence Shannon Jr. (Lincoln Park) had a team-high 25 points (9-15 FG, 1-3 3PT, 6-6 FT) with five rebounds (one offensive), two assists, three turnovers, and a +11 plus-minus in 29 minutes off the bench for Minnneosa. His nine made field goals were a team-high as well as his six made free throws. His three turnovers were a team-worst tied with Naz Reid. His 25 points also set a new career-high for the rookie.
This marked the third game that the T’Wolves rookie played 28+ minutes. In those three games, he’s averaging 18.3 points on 57.1 percent shooting (20-35 FG) with seven rebounds (two offensive) per game. He’s also 13-for-13 from the free throw line.
Dallas Mavericks defeated Charlotte Hornets, 103-96. Max Christie (Rolling Meadows) made his second straight start for Dallas- fourth overall. He had eight points (3-8 FG, 2-3 3PT) with four rebounds, four assists, a steal, and a +10 in 34 minutes. Christie is averaging 14 points on 46.7 percent shooting through his first 10 games played with Dallas. He’s also shooting 45.7 percent on 4.6 attempts per game from beyond the arc during that stretch. Olivier-Maxence Prosper (Lake Forest) came off the bench in the win and had zero points (0-3 FG, 0-1 3PT), a rebound, a steal, and a -1 plus-minus in four minutes. Prosper has gone scoreless in 19 games this season for Dallas.
New Orleans Pelicans defeated Phoenix Suns, 124-116. Antonio Reeves (Simeon) did not play due to a coach’s decision.
G League Games
Windy City Bulls defeated Birmingham Squadron, 102-100. E.J. Liddell (Belleville West) once again got the start while Javon Freemna-Liberty (Whitney Young) and Ben Coupet Jr. (Simeon) came off the bench for the Bulls. Liddell had 10 points (4-10 FG, 2-6 3PT, 0-1 3PT) with eight rebounds (two offensive), six assists, two blocks, four turnovers, and a +2 plus-minus in 33 minutes. Freeman-Liberty had 20 points (7-18 FG, 5-12 3PT, 1-2 FT) with eight rebounds (one offensive), two assists, a steal, a turnover, and a -6 plus-minus in 29 minutes.
Coupet Jr. had 11 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3PT) with a rebound, two assists, a steal, a block, and a +5 plus-minus in 20 minutes.
San Diego Clippers defeated Indiana Mad Ants, 110-100. Cam Christie (Rolling Meadows) started in the win for San Diego. He had 19 points (7-17 FG, 4-8 3PT, 1-2 FT) with three rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a +4 plus-minus in 32 minutes. Jahlil Okafor (Whitney Young) started in the loss for Indiana. He had 10 points (5-12 FG) with 16 rebounds (three offensive), three assists, and a -9 plus-minus in 29 minutes.
