Washington Wizards defeated Toronto Raptors, 118-117. Richaun Holmes (Lockport) came off the bench in the win. He had 10 points (5-11 FG) with 11 rebounds (seven offensive), four assists, two steals, a blocks, and a -6 plus-minus in 20 minutes. This is Holmes’ third double-double of the season. His seven offensive rebounds is a new season-high for the former 2015 second round pick.
Chicago Bulls defeated Miami Heat, 114-109. Matas Buzelis (Hinsdale Central) started in the win while Talen Horton-Tucker (Simeon) came off the bench. Buzelis had 13 points (4-9 FG, 1-5 3PT, 4-4 FT) with five rebounds, an assist, two turnovers, and a +9 plus-minus in 32 minutes. He scored in double digits in his fifth straight game and 19th of the season.
Horton-Tucker had zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3PT) with two rebounds, two assists, and a +1 plus-minus in six minutes. He has played in four straight games after only playing in two of the previous 12 Bulls games between January 31-February 28. Jevon Carter (Proviso East) and E.J. Liddell (Belleville West) did not play in the win.
Boston Celtics defeated Los Angeles Lakers, 111-101. Jordan Goodwin (Althoff Catholic) returned to the rotation after being inactive the last three games. He had six points (2-6 FG, 2-3 3PT) with three rebounds (two offensive), a steal, two turnovers, and a +6 plus-minus in 16 minutes off the bench for Los Angeles. His two made 3-pointers is a season-high.
Houston Rockets defeated New Orleans Pelicans, 146-117. Fred VanVleet (Auburn) missed his fourth straight game due to a right ankle injury.
G League Games
Birmingham Squadron defeated Grand Rapids Gold, 128-107. Antonio Reeves (Simeon) started for the Squadron. He had 24 points (11-19 FG, 2-4 3PT) with three rebounds (one offensive), three assists, two steals, a block, two turnovers, and a +5 plus-minus in 37 minutes.
Stockton Kings defeated Los Angeles Clippers, 123-105. Chasson Randle (Rock Island) came off the bench in the win.
