The National Basketball Association tipped off their season on Tuesday with a doubleheader.
Both games delivered with excitement with many players putting together great season debuts. This worked out perfect as the Topps card company is launching their NBA Topps Now cards since they now have rights to the teams and their logos.
The first game between Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets nearly went into triple-overtime. Oklahoma City ended up edging out Houston 125-124.
Card #1 of the series celebrated the reigning NBA Champs with a card after being presented their championship rings and seeing the Thunders first NBA championship banner get raised to the rafters. The card features Chet Holmgren, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, and Luguentz Dort.

Card #2 in the series goes to the reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. In the season opener, his team-high 35 points carried Oklahoma to a win. They also will have short prints for this card which instead of the in-game photo, it will feature him with his championship ring.


Card #3 goes to NBA veteran and Houston Rockets small forward Kevin Durant. The card features KD taking a jump shot on his way to a 23-point performance in his debut with his team.

Card #4 goes to Alperen Sengun. If not for him, the Rockets would not have been as close to throughout the game. He had a game-high 39 points. This Topps Now cards celebrates him becoming the first NBA player with a 35/5/5/5 game in an opener.

Card #5 and the final card of the Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic. After being traded to Los Angeles midseason, he now playing his first full season with them. The Golden State Warriors defeated the Lakers on Tuesday but Donic put up a fight. He scored a game-high 43 points. He was also an assist away from a triple-double. Doncic had 11 rebounds, nine assists, two steals, and a block in the loss.
