Since the All-Star Game break, Chris Sale had struggled and has struggled bad.
Before Monday night Chris Sale’s earned run average since the break has been 7.61. He’s been giving up about 9 hits, 5 runs, and walking about a batter a game. His strikeout total didn’t suffer he still average about 6.75 strikeouts.
Monday was a different situation. He had a solid start. One inning in he looked like his normal self finishing his first frame with two strikeouts. Sale went seven and one-third innings giving up 5 hits and 2 runs. Sale struck out 7 LA batters.

The White Sox had a great start to the Angels’ series. They won Monday 8-2 behind a great showing from Avisail Garcia.
Avi had two hits which were both home run off the same pitcher. He scored twice and had four RBIs.
The White Sox bats were lively last night. They totaled 13 hits.
Another bright spot was Nate Jones. He recently is coming off Tommy John Surgery. Jones came into relieve Sale and pitched a scoreless 1 2/3 innings. Jones has yet to give up a run in his two outtings.
The White Sox play again today at 7:10 p.m. at the Cell.
