Former Illinois Prep Athletes and their NBA Performances- January 30 Recap

Saturday evening, thirteen former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in a NBA game. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from January 30.

Best Of The Day: Robert Covington

Robert Covington, also known as RoCo, made his return to the Portland Trail Blazers after a 2-game absence.

  • Robert Covington (Proviso West/Trail Blazers)- 34 minutes, 9 points, 3/5 FG, 1/3 3PT, 2/2 FT, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals, and +19 in a 123-122 win over the Bulls.

Extra News

The Oak Park-River Forest grad Iman Shumpert is back in the NBA after signing with the Brooklyn Nets.

He played 13 games last season with Nets before being waived. His last NBA game was December 11, 2019.
