Former Illinois Prep Athletes and their G League Performances- February 18 Recap

Thursday, five former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in a G League game. Below I look into and share each of their G League performances from February 18.

Billy Garrett, Lakeland Magic

Morgan Park’s Billy Garrett was a huge factor in overcoming a 25-point deficit.

  • Billy Garrett (Morgan Park)- 29 minutes, 16 points, 5/16 FG, 1/5 3PT, 3/3 FT, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, a steal, 2 turnovers, and +4 in a 94-90 win over the Erie Bayhawks.

Matt Mooney, Raptors 905

  • Matt Mooney (Notre Dame College Prep)- 20 minutes, 12 points, 4/8 FG, 4/6 3PT, 2 rebounds, 3 turnovers, and -1 in a 117-92 win over the Salt Lake City Stars.

Paul White, Salt Lake City Stars

  • Paul White (Whitney Young)- 18 minutes, 3 points, 1/6 FG, 1/3 3PT, an offensive rebound, 4 total rebounds, an assist, a steal, and 2 turnovers in a 117-92 loss to the Raptors 905.

Brodric Thomas, Rio Grande Valley Vipers

  • Brodric Thomas (Bolingbrook)- 36 minutes, 15 points, 5/13 FG, 1/5 3PT, 2/3 FT, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, a block, 4 turnovers, and -21 in a 104-101 loss to the Austin Spurs.

Admiral Schofield, Greensboro Swarm

  • Admiral Schofield (Zion-Benton Township)- 30 minutes, 8 points, 4/13 FG, 0/6 3PT, 4 offensive rebounds, 12 total rebounds, 2 assists, a block, 3 turnovers, and +4 in a 104-103 win over the Iowa Wolves.
