Former Illinois Prep Athletes and their NBA Performances- February 25 Recap

Thursday evening, five former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in a NBA game and one celebrated a birthday. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from February 25.

Best of the Day: Derrick Rose

Simeon’s Derrick Rose is a fighter and continues to play at a high level. Knicks scored a season-high 140 points in Thursday’s win.

  • Derrick Rose (Simeon/Knicks)- 28 minutes, 18 points, 7/11 FG, 2/2 3PT, 2/2 FT, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 turnovers, and +4 in a 140-121.

The rest of the performances of the day:

  • Richaun Holmes (Lockport/Kings)- 28 minutes, 9 points, 4/6 FG, 1/2 3PT, an offensive rebound, 6 total rebounds, an assist, a steal, and -8 in a 140-121 loss to the Knicks.

  • Jalen Brunson (Stevenson/Mavericks)- 23 minutes, 11 points, 3/5 FG, 2/3 3PT, 3/4 FT, 5 rebounds, an assist, a steal, two turnovers, and -12 in a 111-97 loss to the 76ers.

  • Patrick Beverly (Marshall/Clippers)- 22 minutes, 5 points, 2/7 FG, 2/5 3PT, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, a turnover, and -18 in a 122-94 loss to the Grizzlies.
  • John Konchar (West Chicago/Clippers)- 3 minutes, 0/1 FG, and +4 in a 122-94 win over the Clippers.
