Former Illinois Prep Athletes and their NBA Performances- February 28 Recap

Sunday evening, eleven former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in a NBA game. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from February 28.

Best of the Day: Derrick Rose

  • Derrick Rose (Simeon/Knicks)- 32 minutes, 21 points, 6/14 FG, 2/3 3PT, 0/1 FT, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks, 2 turnovers, and +17 in a 109-90 win over the Pistons.

  • Alfonzo McKinnie (Marshall/Lakers)- 12 minutes, a point, 0/4 FG, 0/3 3PT, 1/2 FT, and -4 in a 117-91 win over the Warriors.
  • Talen Horton-Tucker (Simeon/Lakers)- 16 minutes, 11 points, 5/12 FG, 0/2 3PT, 1/1 FT, a rebound, 3 steals, a block, a turnover, and -2 in a 117-91 win over the Warriors.

  • John Konchar (West Chicago/Grizzlies)- 12 minutes, 2 points, 1/3 FG, an offensive rebound, 4 total rebounds, 3 assists, and +14 in a 133-84 win over the Rockets.
