Former Illinois Prep Athletes and their G League Performances- March 9 Recap

Tuesday, two former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in a G League Semifinals game. Morgan Park’s Billy Garrett Jr. and his Lakeland Magic team defeated the Santa Cruz Warriors in an upset victory. Unfortunately for Notre Dame College Prep’s Matt Mooney, his Raptors 905 had a slow day on offense and couldn’t compete with the Delaware Blue Coats. Below I look into and share each of their G League performances from March 9.

Billy Garrett Jr., Lakeland Magic

Number 6 seed Lakeland Magic will play for the championship tomorrow at 4:30 pm/ET on ESPN2.

Morgan Park’s Billy Garrett Jr. did not have the best day after having a team-high seven turnovers and missing all his field goals.
