Best of the Day: Derrick Rose
Simeon’s and current New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose made a strong impression off the bench in his first game since February 28.
- Derrick Rose (Simeon/Knicks)- 29 minutes, 13 points, 6/15 FG, 1/5 3PT, a rebound, an assist, 2 steals, a block, a turnover, and +7 in a 102-96 win over the Bucks.
The rest of the performances of the day:
- Brodric Thomas (Bolingbrook/Cavaliers)- 32 minutes, 7 points, 2/8 FG, 1/4, 2/2 FT, a rebound, an assist, 2 steals, 2 blocks, and a team-high +8 (tied with Damyean Dotson) in a 100-98 loss to the Kings. This was Thomas’ first career start in the NBA.
- Richaun Holmes (Lockport/Kings)- 34 minutes, 10 points, 5/11 FG, 5 offensive rebounds, a team-high 14 total rebounds, 5 blocks, 3 turnovers, and -3 in a 100-98 win over the Cavaliers.
- Jalen Brunson (Stevenson/Mavericks)- 39 minutes, 24 points, 10/15 FG, 1/2 3PT, 3/5 FT, an offensive rebound, 2 total rebounds, a team-high 4 assists (tied with Dorian Finney-Smith and Josh Richardson), a turnover, and +1 in a 112-103 loss to the Pelicans.
- Isaiah Roby (Dixon/Thunder)- 27 minutes, 4 points, 1/5 FG, 0/2 3PT, 2/4 FT, 2 offensive rebounds, 7 total rebounds, an assist, a block, 2 turnovers, and -3 in a 111-94 loss to the Celtics.
- John Konchar (West Chicago/Grizzlies)- 7 minutes, 3 points, 1/3 FG, 1/2 FT, 3 offensive rebounds, an assist, and +10 in a 126-110 loss to the Jazz.
