Former Illinois Prep Athletes and their NBA Performances- April 6 Recap

Tuesday evening, six former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in a NBA game. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from April 6.

Best of the Day: Talen Horton-Tucker

  • Talen Horton-Tucker (Simeon/Lakers)- 26 minutes, a team-high 17 points, 6/10 FG, 3/4 3PT, 2/3 FT, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, a steal, 4 turnovers, and +4 in a 110-101 win over the Raptors.

The rest of the performances of the day:

  • Alfonzo McKinnie (Marshall/Lakers)- 4 minutes, 0/1 FG, 0/2 FT, and -9 in a 110-101 win over the Raptors.
  • John Konchar (West Chicago/Grizzlies)- 21 minutes, 5 points, 2/4 FG, 1/3 3PT, 2 rebounds, a team-high 6 assists (tied with Kyle Anderson), 2 steals, a turnover, and +8 in a 124-112 win over the Heat.
  • Andre Iguodala (Lanphier/Heat)- 19 minutes, 0/1 FG, 0/1 3PT, a rebound, 3 assists, a steal, a game-high 2 blocks, and -19 in a 124-112 loss to the Grizzlies.
  • Max Strus (Stagg/Heat)- 2 minutes and +5 in 124-112 loss to the Grizzlies.
  • Robert Covington (Proviso West/Trail Blazers)- 36 minutes, 15 points, 6/13 FG, 2/7 3PT, 1/2 FT, 3 offensive rebounds, 9 total rebounds, 2 assists, a game-high 2 steals (tied with C.J. McCollum), a block, a turnover, and -15 in a 133-116 loss to the Clippers.
