Former Illinois Prep Athletes and their NBA Performances- April 15 Recap

Thursday evening, four former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in a NBA game. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from April 15.

Best Of The Day: Jevon Carter

  • Jevon Carter (Proviso East/Suns)- 17 minutes, 13 points, 5/6 FG, 3/4 3PT, an offensive rebound, 3 total rebounds, 2 assists, a steal, and +3 in a 122-114 win over the Kings.

The rest of the performances of the day:

  • Alfonzo McKinnie (Marshall/Lakers)- 16 minutes, 10 points, 4/6 FG, 2/3 3PT, an offensive rebound, 2 total rebounds, a steal, and +11 in a 121-113 loss to the Celtics.
  • Talen Horton-Tucker (Simeon/Lakers)- 27 minutes, a team-high 19 points, 7/15 FG, 0/3 3PT, a team-high 5/5 FT, an offensive rebound, 7 total rebounds, 7 assists, a team-high 3 steals (tied with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope), 2 turnovers, and -4 in a 121-113 loss to the Celtics.

  • Brodric Thomas (Bolingbrook/Cavaliers)- 1 minutes, an assist, a turnover, and +3 in a 119-101 loss to the Warriors.
