Former Illinois Prep Athletes and their NBA Performances- May 24 NBA Playoffs Recap

Monday evening, four former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in a NBA game. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from May 24.

Monday, May 24

  • Kendrick Nunn (Simeon/Heat)- 25 minutes, 9 points, 4/14 FG, 1/5 3PT, an assist, a steal, and -20 in a 132-98 loss to the Bucks.
  • Andre Iguodala (Lanphier/Heat)- 14 minutes, 2 points, 1/1 FG, 2 offensive rebounds, 4 total rebounds, an assist, a block, 3 turnovers, and -4 in a 132-98 loss to the Bucks.
  • Max Strus (Stagg/Heat)- 5 minutes, 0/1 FG, and -1 in a 132-98 loss to the Bucks.
  • Robert Covington (Proviso West/Trail Blazers)- 37 minutes, 3 points, 1/3 FG, 1/2 3PT, a rebound, an assist, a team-high 2 steals, a game-high 2 blocks (tied with Norman Powell), 4 turnovers, and -3 in a 128-109 loss to the Nuggets.
