Wednesday evening, just one former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in a NBA game. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from May 26.

Best of the day: Derrick Rose

After a Game 1 loss and Trae Young chirping after, Simeon’s Derrick Rose knew he and his teammates needed to turn things up and get a win. Rose lead the team with 26 points in the Game 2 win at the Garden.

  • Derrick Rose (Simeon/Knicks)- 39 minutes, a team-high 26 points, 9/21 FG, 2/3 3PT, 6/6 FT, an offensive rebound, 4 total rebounds, a team-high 4 assists (tied with Julius Randle), a turnover, and +12 in a 101-92 win over the Hawks.
