Former Illinois Prep Athletes and their NBA Performances- May 30 Playoffs Recap

Sunday evening, six former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in a NBA game. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from May 30.

Best of the day: Jabari Parker

  • Jabari Parker (Simeon/Celtics)- 17 minutes, 10 points, 4/5 FG, 2/2 3PT, 2 offensive rebounds, 6 total rebounds, an assist, a block, 2 turnovers, and +9 in a 141-126 loss to the Nets.

The rest of the performances of the day:

  • Derrick Rose (Simeon/Knicks)- 33 minutes, 18 points, 7/15 FG, 2/4 3PT, 2/2 FT, 2 rebounds, 6 assists, and a game-worst -22 in a 113-96 loss to the Hawks.
  • Frank Kaminsky (Benet/Suns)- 7 minutes, 0/2 FG, 0/2 3PT, a steal, a turnover, and -7 in a 100-92 win over the Lakers.
  • Anthony Davis (Perspectives/Lakers)- 19 minutes, 6 points, 2/9 FG, 0/3 3PT, 2/2 FT, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, a steal, a block, and -8 in a 100-92 loss to the Suns.
  • Patrick Beverly (Marshall/Clippers)- 5 minutes, 3 points, 1/3 FG, 1/1 FT, a rebound, and -1 in a 106-81 win over the Mavericks.
  • Jalen Brunson (Stevenson/Mavericks)- 19 minutes, 7 points, 2/8 FG, 1/4 3PT, 2/2 FT, a team-high 2 offensive rebounds (tied with Dorian Finney-Smith), 4 total rebound, 3 assists, and -9 in a 106-81 loss to the Clippers.
