Former Illinois Prep Athletes and their NBA Performances- June 2 NBA Playoffs Recap

Wednesday evening, four former Illinois prep athletes saw minutes in a NBA game. Below I look into and share each of their NBA performances from June 2.

Wednesday, June 2

  • Derrick Rose (Simeon/Knicks)- 27 minutes, 6 points, 3/11 FG, 0/1 3PT, an offensive rebound, 3 total rebounds, a team-high 5 assists (tied with R.J. Barrett), a team-high 1 block (tied with 3 others, and -11 in a 103-89 loss to the Hawks.

  • John Konchar (West Chicago/Grizzlies)- 2 minutes, 0/1 FG, 0/1 3PT, a rebound, and +4 in a 126-110 loss to the Jazz.
  • Jalen Brunson (Stevenson/Mavericks)- 10 minutes, 2 points, 1/3 FG, and -10 in 105-100 win over the Clippers.
  • Patrick Beverly (Marshall/Clippers)- 11 seconds and -2 in a 105-100 loss to the Mavericks.
